Anythink York Street's Teen Advisory Board invites interested teens to join us while we work on our garden plot. Meet at the library, and then we'll walk to the nearby Original Thornton Community Garden. Help us grow food and flowers for ourselves and for donation to help the community. Wear work clothes that you don't mind getting dirty. Appropriate for students in grades 6-12. No registration required.

Participants will discover how the inner workings of a kaleidoscope can create different patterns. Build your own kaleidoscope to take home and enjoy. Appropriate for tweens ages 9-12. Space is limited; registration is required.

Learn how to draw with Mr. Artist Guy! He will share techniques for drawing with oil pastels and pencil sketching. Appropriate for kids and tweens ages 7-18. Space is limited, registration is required.

Elements! They make up everything around us, but what do you really know about them? Will magnesium, hydrogen, oxygen, or helium burn? Liquid nitrogen is great for freezing things, but what other fun stuff can we do with it? Exploration Universe will let kids see what some of the actual elements look like, learn some wild facts about them, and see some amazing demonstrations of their properties! Appropriate for kids and families ages 5 and up. No registration required.
