November 18, 2017 - 10:00 am to 3:00 pm

Explore the many creative paths available at The Studio at Anythink during our open house. From video production to 3D printing, the creation process will be in your hands during our series of workshops for all ages. Drop by for one session or stay for the whole day, working together with Anythink's artists in residence and our Studio team.

10 am – Video production with Tyson Kartchner

Learn about videography, composition and filming techniques, and then create your own video using your phone or other device. Wrap up this workshop with post-production tips and Q&A.

11 am – Storytelling with Chris Vandijk

Storytelling is an art, and Chris will share some ways to fine-tune your craft. Participants will leave with a better understanding of what makes a good story and an outline to get started on their own.

12 pm – Sewing alterations with Kathy Renz

Kathy from Sassy Selections will provide an overview of alterations, and then participants will learn a few basic techniques for shirts, pants and jeans.

1-3 pm – 3D Printing and Design with Mahi Palanisami

Mahi from Hypatia Studio will help demystify the 3D printing process using TinkerCAD. Whether you already have a project in mind, or you’re designing for the first time, work with other participants to develop your project and learn something new.
