Therapy dogs provide a safe, non-judgmental audience for kids to practice their reading out loud. Bring a book you’ve been working on or choose from one of ours. Read to one of our patient, furry friends provided by Therapy Dogs Boulder County. This program is appropriate for ages 4-12. Space is limited, registration is required. On the day of the event, registered participants will sign up for a 5-15 minute session during the program on a first come, first served basis.

Dust Bowl Girls: The Inspiring Story of the Team That Barnstormed Its Way to Basketball Glory tells the true story of the Cardinals, who in 1932 became the first women's collegiate team to win the American Athletic Union's National Basketball Tournament. This personable narrative is as much about the daily lives of the players as it is about the sport of basketball. Library Journal calls it “Equal parts social history and sports legend come to life.”
