Children in elementary school are invited to read to our wonderful dog volunteers. They join us on the third Saturday of each month. This is an excellent program for children who are learning to read or need practice reading. Our patient dogs love to listen and they never criticize. Make some noise at the library. Pick up a hammer and nails to create your own book bin using plywood materials. The team from The Craftsman & Apprentice will provide all the tools, supplies, and skills you'll need to assemble and decorate a special place to stash your favorite books. Through a partnership with the Bennett Arts Council and Joyful Journeys, Anythink Bennett presents a four-week phone photography class taught by local artist, Patty Lindsay. Bring your cell phone and learn to take amazing photos by getting the most out of your phone in this fun, hands-on workshop. The class will be four weeks long with a reception showcasing student’s work on March 21.

Young or old, everyone has worries. Learn about the colorful culture of Guatemala through textiles. Participants will learn about weavers, the importance of Huipils and the legend of the worry doll. Make your own worry doll, adding a Huipil, to take home and tell your worries to before you go to sleep. Appropriate for kids ages 4-12 and their caregivers.
