Make silly candy cane mouse ornaments, gorgeous paper snowflakes, picture frames from recycle CDs, button barrettes, or beautiful crafts boxes from recycled books. Yummy refreshments included. Fun activities for all ages.

Submit your favorite cookie recipe along with a short story about why it’s special to you by Dec. 16 to be included in the Anythink Brighton 2009 Cookie (recipe) Exchange Book. All participants will receive a copy of the book and be invited to our cookie decorating and book release party. Ask anyone wearing an orange lanyard for details.

Come to this enlivening, fun workshop in conjunction with the exhibition at the library, sponsored by the Mizel Museum. The “Tikkun Olam” exhibit features 12 seven-foot, five-paneled columns upon which 54 participants from 27 countries offer their inspired visions of a better world in pictures, poems and songs. The panel messages represent universal values of social justice, compassion, freedom, equality and peace.  We will read stories and create art projects which will reveal your own hopes and dreams about being a global citizen. Children and adults are welcome to join us for this two-part, drop-in workshop.
