The American Medical Association describes tai chi as “characterized by physical movement and mental concentration; its purpose is to moderately exercise all the muscles and achieve integration between mind and body.” “Joe” Dunn, instructor at the Northglenn Senior Center, will help you learn the basic movements of this ancient practice. We’re reading Broken by Boulder’s Lisa Jones, who took a journalist’s trip to Wyoming’s Wind River Reservation that was supposed last four days, but stretched to four years. She falls under the spell of Stanford Addison, a wheelchair-bound horse whisperer who teaches about many kinds of love. Her book is a testament to Stan, who has since died, and a personal revelation. Lisa, a published writer and journalist, will be teaching journaling classes at several Anythink branches this summer.
