Never thread a needle before? No problem! This workshop will teach you four basic hand embroidery stitches: blanket stitch, running stitch, back stitch and couching. - Feb. 4: Resistance Painting – Learn the art of resistance painting with white crayons and watercolors.
- Feb. 11: Bowtie Wednesday – Create your own bowties with squares of fabric and ribbon.
- Feb. 18: Puzzle Piece Creatures – Turn an ordinary blank puzzle piece into a googley-eyed creature.
- Feb. 25: Gum Wrapper Chains – Fold gum-wrapper sized pieces of paper into colorful chains.
Make a wire sculpture necklace using 12 gauge copper wire. Form the wire with tolls, work-harden it, add patina and hang it on a chain. Appropriate for adults and teens grades 6 and up. Space is limited; registration is required.
