Anythink to Host Voodoo Doughnut for Special Teen Program

Anythink will host renowned bakery Voodoo Doughnut for a special teen program on Jan. 29, 2014, at Anythink York Street. At "The Magic of Voodoo Doughnut," students will have the opportunity to meet Voodoo Doughnut Chief Operating Officer Robin Ludwig, participate in a discussion on what it means to run a business, discover the process of designing new and creative doughnut recipes, learn about how the doughnuts are made and taste the different creations. The event, which begins at 4 pm, is limited in capacity and registration is recommended. Please visit Anythink’s online calendar to register.

"This program is a wonderful opportunity to show teens that anyone can take something they love and turn it into a fun business," says Michelle Hawkins, Anythink teen guide. "Teens will be able to interact with Voodoo Doughnut staff and ask questions about how to start and run a business and make work fun."

Voodoo Doughnut, a popular and successful doughnut company based in Portland, Ore., recently opened a new bakery in Denver. This newest Colorado addition to the nationally acclaimed business is the first to open outside of Oregon.

"Part of our goal in moving to Denver is not to bring Portland to Denver but to be a part of the Denver community," says Voodoo Doughnut co-owner Kenneth "Cat Daddy" Pogson. "Being a part of the community means giving through charity, adding to the neighborhood and offering sweet treats."
