Anythink Garden Project Returns This Spring
Plots are now available at Anythink's Commerce City and Perl Mack locations.
Community Garden Plots Now Available at Anythink Commerce City, Perl Mack
Community garden plots are once again available to the public at Anythink Commerce City and Anythink Perl Mack, thanks to continued support from Denver Urban Gardens. Community members are invited to sign up now for 10x10 plots to maintain throughout the growing season. The cost is $35 per plot. Applications and free seeds are available at both libraries.
“This spring, the gardeners have formed steering committees and are taking on the leadership roles, making these truly ‘community gardens,’” says Ronnie Storey-Ewoldt, Anythink’s public services director. “Anythink is delighted to support them, and can hardly wait to the gardens in full bloom this summer.”
As part of Anythink Grows, the district’s community garden project, these two libraries will offer garden-related programming over the course of the season. Community workshops and volunteer workdays will be held on the following dates in April, where residents and volunteers are invited to help work on the gardens. Volunteers are encouraged to wear sunscreen and comfortable clothes.
